St. Louis Partners Bring Focus to Importance of Water

Many conservation milestones have been achieved in Missouri over the last few years. And they all have one thing in common: partnerships.

Now, more than 20 St. Louis area organizations and businesses committed to water are partnering to bringing focus to the connection between water and the health of our lands, people and economies. Each partner will provide unique resources and the expertise necessary to raise public awareness and understanding of the importance of water and what it means to be good stewards of this vital resource.

This initiative will focus on why water matters and what individuals can do to protect the health of our water.

As we saw most recently in our Heartland documentary, stories about the beauty and the bounty of Missouri’s lands and waters help us appreciate our natural resources and their importance to our lives. In this initiative, the Nine Network and its partners will share stories that both celebrate water and shed light on some of our most significant challenges in stewarding the health of our waters.

The collaboration launched this spring around World Water Day on March 22 and Earth Day on April 22. Watch for short stories throughout our schedule and information on this Web page—all focused on bringing you trusted information, resources and inspiring stories.
