Tony Furtado is a world-class performer on the banjo and slide guitar, but he also has a hidden talent as a sculptor.

The Pulitzer Foundation’s latest exhibit, “The Progress of Love”, looks into the question of what aspects of love are universal and which are cultural and historical.

One of the most respected figures in Russian contemporary art, visual artist Oleg Vassiliev belongs to the generation of the Unofficial Artist Movement in the Soviet Union during the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s. Although he lives in the United States today, he is nevertheless a Russian artist at heart.

New York native Faith Ringgold grew up in Harlem among many famous artists of the time. Now she has honored those figures in her subway art.
