The first episode in the series Women, War and Peace, “I Came to Testify”, premiered on Nine PBS at 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11.
It’s the story of how a group of 16 women who had been imprisoned and raped by Serb-led forces in the Bosnian town of Foca took the witness stand in an international court of law. As a result of their courage, new international laws were created to address sexual violence in war.
