Ruth Ezell and Angela Antkowiak visit Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis on Sherman Day to visit with the local Sons of Union Veterans group which gathers every year at the tomb of General William Tecumsah Sherman to commemorate his life. Sherman spent much time in St. Louis both before, during and after the Civil War, and one of his final request before his death in 1891 was to be buried in the family plot he had purchased in Calvary Cemetery. The local group gathers each year in Civil War uniforms to pay homage to one of the most famous soldiers of that war.
