Personal Stories – Nine Community Cinema – Âs Nutayuneân: We Still Live Here
On November 3, 2011, Nine Community Cinema in St. Louis Missouri held a public screening of “Âs Nutayuneân: We Still Live Here,” at the Missouri History Museum.
Âs Nutayuneân tells a story of cultural revival by the Wampanoag of Southeastern Massachusetts. Their ancestors ensured the survival of the Pilgrims and lived to regret it. Now they are bringing their language home again.
