Anne-Marie Berger takes a rare look at the nutrition department at the St. Louis Zoo where some 3,000 lbs. of food are prepared for more than 18,000 animals each day. In addition, the zoo conducts ongoing research as part of Zootrition—an internet database where zoos from around the world can post and view the proper diets for animals.
