Jim Kirchherr looks back at the life of Nobel Peace Prize winners, Carl and Gerty Cori. The couple was born in Prague where they attended medical school and later got married. In 1922, they moved to the United States to further their research on sugar and glucose at Washington University Medical School. The Cori’s always worked as a team, and complimented each other well. In 1947, they were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in Medicine for their influential work in the medical world.
