Jim Kirchherr joins a group of researchers at Klondike Park in St. Charles County as they pull weeds, or “invasive plants,” as part of a study. The team from Washington University is conducting a three-year experiment on garlic mustard—using GPS technology to map out its distribution as they try to find out the best way to manage the spread of this weed.
