St. Louis, MO—June 17, 2014—The Nine Network’s weekly arts series Arts America visits the 19th-century river and railroad town of New Haven, Missouri. The town is reinventing itself by attracting a community of artists to its revitalized downtown. This segment will air as part of the show on June 28 at 3:30 p.m. on Nine PBS. (The show will be broadcast again on June 29 at 1:00 p.m.)

Other Arts America segments feature Arizona recycle artist Alexi Devillers who makes meals for those in need and then uses the empty tin cans to create elaborate art pieces; Texas artist Patrick Dougherty who turns twigs into grand sculptures that decorate a city park; and The Heart Gallery of America in Tampa, which uses evocative and candid photos of foster children to match kids with adoptive parents.
