The Nine Network Broadcasts the A&E Arts Awards Ceremony

Exciting Performances Highlight the Arts & Education Council 2013 Arts Awards on March 31

St. Louis — March 15, 2012 — Electrifying guitar licks by Billy Peek, bluesy dance from MADCO, and stirring vocals from soprano Kelly Kaduce are among the many highlights in Arts & Education Council 2013 Arts Awards. The hour-long Nine Network special, taped January 21 at the Arts and Education Council’s annual arts awards ceremony in the Chase Park Plaza, will be broadcast on Nine PBS Sunday, March 31 at 10:00 p.m. The A&E awards honor artists as well as individuals and organizations that contribute to the arts through education, promotion or philanthropy.

The performances pay tribute to the winners in seven categories: Chuck Berry (lifetime achievement), PNC Bank (corporate support), Judy and Jerry Kent (philanthropy); Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (excellence in the arts); Michael Uthoff (excellence in the arts), St. Louis Public Radio (arts champion) and Duane Martin Foster (art educator).

Every week the Nine Network brings to St. Louis audiences a broad range of arts programs spanning a diversity of cultures, interests and tastes.
