The Nine Network Celebrates St. Louis’ Innovative, Entrepreneurial Spirit

Live Town Hall Broadcast Ignite Innovation on April 9 Kicks Off Initiative to Strengthen Innovation and Boost Awareness of Resources for Entrepreneurs

St. Louis — March 29, 2013 — St. Louis has what an entrepreneur needs: a supportive infrastructure for risk taking and a community of other successful innovators eager to help.

Now there’s an additional asset. On Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m., the Nine Network will broadcast a live town hall, Ignite Innovation, to kick off an initiative to explore St. Louis’ expanding reputation as a hotbed for entrepreneurs. The hour-long broadcast, moderated by Nine Network senior producer Jim Kirchherr, will include a panel of experts and a live studio audience made up of community members, entrepreneurs and business professionals who will participate in the conversation. Among the experts on the panel are Judy Sindecuse, CEO and managing partner at Capital Innovators, and Gilbert Bickel, chairman, Arch Angels and a senior vice president at Wells Fargo Financial Advisors.

“St. Louis can boast of a unique entrepreneurial environment,” said Nine Network President and CEO Jack Galmiche. “We are in a position, much like in the 19th century, that is ripe for innovation and growth. With the Ignite Innovation initiative and live town hall broadcast, we want to increase awareness of the region’s entrepreneurship resources and help strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem.”

The public is invited to be in the audience for Ignite Innovation. To register, visit by April 2. For more information, call (314) 512-9139 or email
