The Nine Network Presents Festive Music Special Holiday in Blue
December Concert by the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America Airs on Nine PBS on December 21
St. Louis, MO—December 15, 2011—A concert of holiday favorites by the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, under the baton of Commander and Conductor Maj. Cristina M. Moore Urrutia, will air on Nine PBS on Wednesday, December 21 at 7:00 p.m. (it repeats Friday, December 23 at 1:00 a.m.). Holiday in Blue, an hour-long special, was recorded December 2 at the Scottish Rite Cathedral auditorium in Grand Center.
Holiday in Blue features the 45-member band and vocalists Tech. Sgt. Keisha Gwin-Goodin and Staff Sgt. Albert K Williams. Among the songs performed are “A Christmas Intrada,” “The Nutcracker Suite,” “What Child Is This,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “Sousa and Christmas Forever” and “O Chanukah.”
