The Nine Network to Broadcast the A&E Arts Awards Ceremony

Party: 2011 St. Louis Arts Awards Will Air on Nine on March 4


St. Louis — February 23, 2011 — Party: 2011 St. Louis Arts Awards, showcasing the Arts and Education Council’s 20th annual arts awards ceremony, will be broadcast on the Nine Network of Public Media on Friday, March 4 at 9:00 p.m. The A&E awards honor artists as well as individuals and organizations that contribute to the arts through education, promotion or philanthropy.


The hour-long special was taped January 24 at the Chase Park Plaza. Winners in the seven categories are: Wells Fargo Advisors (corporate support), attorney Christian B. Peper (philanthropy), Sheldon Concert Hall Executive Director Paul Reuter (arts innovator), Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (excellence in the arts), teacher Wayne Salomon (art educator), singer Mae Wheeler (lifetime achievement) and restaurateur and River Styx sponsor Karen Duffy (literary arts champion).
