The Nine Network Tours Saint Louis Art Museum’s New East Building

Nine’s Cameras Capture Excitement as New Space Opens to Visitors

 

St. Louis, MO—July 10, 2013—The July 21 episode of Sunday Arts will unveil the Saint Louis Art Museum’s newly added East Building. Sunday Arts airs Sundays at 1:00 p.m. on Nine PBS.

 

Museum director Brent Benjamin offers a behind-the-scenes look at the just-opened addition to the historic Cass Gilbert building. The $160 million, 210,000-square-foot building increases gallery and public space by 30 percent.

 

Other segments of this Sunday Arts episode explore the spiritual works of representational painter Marc Rubin; interview Paula Zahn to discuss New York Public Theater’s 50th anniversary; present a performance of the song “Brave” by Josh Groban; and find out from violinist Rachel Barton Pine how classical music is central to her life.
