The Nine Network’s Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash at The Magic House
The Cat in the Hat Invites Everyone to the Celebration on March 2 and 3
St. Louis, MO—February 14, 2013—The marvelously mischievous feline known as the Cat in the Hat purrs into town for The Nine Network’s Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash at The Magic House on March 2 and 3. The weekend party celebrates the 109th birthday of beloved author Dr. Seuss and is part of the National Education Association’s nationwide Read Across America weekend.
The party, hosted by the Nine Network and The Magic House, 516 S. Kirkwood Rd., takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3.
Party goers are welcome to bring cameras to take photos with the Cat in the Hat. The Magic House will have a selection of props to pose with, as well. Children can also watch episodes of The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!, listen to local performers read from their favorite Dr. Seuss books, do activities and make crafts, like their own Cat in the Hat hat.
Admission to The Magic House is $9.50, but children coming to the party can get in free if they bring a new Dr. Seuss book ($5 minimum value) to donate to children in need. For more information, visit nineNet.org.
