Serving the St. Louis region and beyond.
  • April 24, 2014

Sunday Arts has become Arts America to reflect two significant aspects of our popular weekend arts programming. We will now air the series on Saturdays as well. And, since we have begun to exchange more locally-produced programs with stations across the country, we decided that Arts America was a more fitting title to the series.

Arts America will continue to lead full afternoon of local and national arts every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Nine PBS, and will also air Saturday afternoons at 3:30 p.m. The half-hour magazine series represents an exciting collaboration among 30 PBS stations across the country, each sharing their best arts segments. This means St. Louis arts segments are seen throughout the United States.

Over the next six months, our weekend Arts America series will include a regular segment called “Art Fusion” featuring interviews with local arts leaders. The segments will explore a wide range of perspectives on the visual and performing arts in our region.

Art Fusion segments are created by the Nine Network in partnership with the Regional Arts Commission (RAC) and the Radio Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Listen to Jim Doyle’s recent interview on Radio Arts Foundation as Patrick Murphy, Jill McGuire and Gavin Chuck discuss Art Fusion and the Nine Network’s commitment to the arts.
