1780 British Attack on St. Louis- Living History Program


This event will present the stories of the people of St. Louis during the British Attack of May 26, 1780. Their stories will be told using their own words. Each group of people had a differnet perspective on events; the Spanish soldiers, the local militia, merchants, women and the British Indians. Eighteenth century artillery and musket drill and firing demos will happen on the half hour throughout the day. Event is free on Arch grounds, Sat. May 25, 2013 from 10am-4pm.
