What Is Dark Matter - And Why Does It Matter? Dr. Ramanath Cowsik


"Dark matter" is the invisible stuff that makes up 85% of the material universe. While not seen directly, it is detected by its effects on stars and galaxies. Dr. Cowsik will talk about the importance of dark matter to science and the attempts to identify its nature. Dr. Cowsik is a Professor of Physics and Director of the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences at Washington University.
