Big Muddy Blues Festival
The annual Big Muddy Blues Festival - now in its 18th year - is Missouri's premier Blues event. The two day, Labor Day weekend festival (Saturday, August 31 & Sunday, September 1) features over 18 hours of music with 30 bands on three outdoor stages throughout the cobblestone streets of historic Laclede's Landing on the Mississippi Riverfront in downtown St. Louis. Big Muddy showcases a wide range of Blues musicians who represent extensions of the Blues genre, such as Soul, R&B, Rockabilly, Gospel and Jazz. Regional and local bands are showcased on the two free satellite stages, while the ticketed main stage features international headliners, such as this year's, David Clayton Thomas, The Reverend Horton Heat, Walter Trout and Anthony Gomes.
