Free Public Telescope Viewing


The James S. McDonnell Planetarium turns 50 this year! Celebrate all year long during the Saint Louis Science Center's First Friday events. Join the St. Louis Astronomical Society outside the planetarium for free public telescope viewing. On Friday, September 6, 2013, telescopes will be available for visitors to use until 10 o'clock p.m. weather permitting. The event begins at 7 o' clock p.m. with "The Sky Tonight", a free star show in the planetarium. Please arrive early as seating is limited. A performance of Laserium is available at 8:30 p.m. Laser show ticket prices and additional First Friday events can be found at slsc.org.
