Central Library Cinema: Movies at Central Library Downtown

Join us in Central Library's (downtown) 250-seat auditorium for films shown on the big screen every Thursday! We're doing some awesome stuff in December for our series, "Be Quiet and 'Speak Easy,'" a film series highlighting the crime and lifestyles during prohibition. December 5th, which is the day prohibition was repealed through the 21st Amendment in 1933, marks the 80th anniversary of the repeal of prohibition.  We are doing some giveaways on December 5th for Repeal Day.  All films start at 6:30PM.

Line-up:

December 5 – Miller's Crossing (1990, Rated R, 114 min)  We're giving away a VIP tour from Schlafly (for the winner and up to 9 of their friends), along with a gift certificate from Urban Chestnut, and a super cool Great Gatsby poster.

December 12 – Public Enemies (2009, Rated R, 143 min)

December 19 – The Public Enemy (1931, NR, 83 min)

December 26 – The Great Gatsby (2013, Rated PG-13, 143 min)
