Shakespeare Festival St. Louis presents HENRY IV & V
Shakespeare Festival St. Louis will be producing three plays in two alternating main stage shows -- Henry IV, Parts 1 & 2 and Henry V – at Shakespeare Glen in Forest Park. HENRY IV opens May 17; HENRY V opens May 24. Beginning May 25, the two plays are presented on alternating nights except Tuesdays. This will mark the Festival's 14th season of producing free performances in an outdoor setting and the first time audiences will be invited to experience more than one of Shakespeare's works in repertory. Free nightly backstage tours and post-show Talkbacks will also be available. As in previous years, the preshow Festival activities will include a nightly Green Show at 6:30 p.m. The pre-show will include a 20-minute adaptation of "Henry IV & V"; musicians, dancers, singers, jugglers; and a craft table for kids. Admission is free. Open lawn seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Audience members are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs. Rental chairs are available for $10 and $7 each. For more information, please visit www.sfstl.com or call 314/531-9800.
