The public is invited to enjoy the rare opportunity to tour the Busch Mansion and view its many artistic masterpieces at the Great Rivers Environmental Law Center's "Cocktails at the Busch Mansion," hosted by Adolphus A. Busch IV.  The gala is planned for Sunday, May 19, 5-7:30 p.m., at the mansion on the grounds of Grant's Farm.

Guests also will meet Trudy Busch Valentine, who will recount growing up in the "Big House" and discuss her environmental sustainability initiative for Grant's Farm.  In addition, guests can have their photograph taken with a world-famous Clydesdale.  Those attending also will be treated to cocktails and hors d'ouevres, with music by the St. Louis Classical Guitar Quartet.

According to Kathleen Henry, President of Great Rivers Environmental Law Center, "This event offers the incredible opportunity to view this historical home which is not otherwise available for public tours, and to learn about the mansion and its artworks through the eyes of Trudy Busch Valentine who grew up there.  In addition, the cocktail party supports the important work of Great Rivers Environmental Law Center in our nonprofit efforts to provide free and reduced-fee legal services to those seeking to protect the environment and public health."

"Cocktails at the Busch Mansion" is open to the public, but reservations are required.  Tickets at $125 each can be purchased by contacting Great Rivers Environmental Law Center at 314-231-4181 or online at  For more information on Great Rivers, visit
