Women and Girls Lead is a multi-year public media initiative designed to focus, educate and connect women, girls and their allies across the globe to address the challenges of the 21st century. The initiative includes films, on-air series, community discussions and other activities. Complementing Women and Girls Lead is a five-part documentary television series Women, War & Peace, which examines the changing role of women in conflict zones in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Colombia and Liberia. The Nine Network’s Community Cinema Series, presented in partnership with the Missouri History Museum, provides a platform for the powerful independent films that are part of these initiatives.
